On the west side of Chania, from the gulf of Kissamos, a beautiful complex of small islands waits for you. Among them is Gramvousa peninsula, with its splendid scenery, turquoise shallow waters, stunning seabed and impressive Venetian castle on the top. The castle-fortress of Imeri Gramvousa, built by Venetians, was a pirates’ ant, and the legend wants a great treasure to be hidden on the island. It is located at an altitude of 137 meters and was one of the best fortified castles in Crete. One of the things to remember about Gramvousa Castle is its magnificent view to the sea and Gramvousa peninsula. Many visitors are considered one of the most beautiful landscapes of Crete. The Gramvousa peninsula is one of the most remote parts of Crete that has managed to preserve its natural environment.
You will arrive here from the port of Kissamos with the boats that start in the morning and turn you in the afternoon.
